I'd like to request approval to attend Red Blue Purple AI, a live virtual training taught by Jason Haddix, CEO of Arcanum Information Security. The course runs as two live online sessions on September 1st and 3rd, 2026, from 10am to 5pm MST, so I would only be away from regular duties for two working days. The cost is $2,000 USD per seat, and full class recordings are included, so I can revisit the material afterward and share takeaways with the team.

The course is a deep dive into using LLMs such as GPT and Claude to accelerate day-to-day security work across offensive, defensive, and hybrid domains. It is built from the instructor's real-world consulting and research rather than theory. The v2.0 syllabus covers:

LLM fundamentals for security work: model selection, context windows, RAG, agents, MCP, and privacy strategies such as local-first models and Azure OpenAI
Prompt engineering, including the Arcanum System Prompt Methodology and reusable templates for building bots and agents
Red AI: augmenting recon and OSINT, LLM-assisted web vulnerability analysis, the new Burp Suite AI features, red team payload and C2 workflows, and reverse engineering assist tooling
Blue AI: SOC, DFIR, and threat hunting bots for ELK, Splunk, Suricata, YARA, OSQuery, and Wireshark, plus IR playbook creation and vulnerability management automation
Purple AI: AI-assisted code analysis with Semgrep, Snyk, and CodeQL, LLM-assisted threat modeling, and LLM-generated tabletops and training tools
Leadership: AI for CISO-level decision making, risk communication, and automated executive briefs

The direct benefit to our team is practical, not academic. I would come back with working prompts, bot templates, and playbooks we can adopt immediately to speed up existing workflows, the kind of force multiplier that adds capacity without adding headcount. Because recordings are included, the material stays available for review even if a live session conflicts with work priorities.

Enrollment is handled online, and bulk seats are available if we later want to extend the training to others on the team. I'm happy to summarize what I learn in a session for the group after the course.
